Hey, this is great news!! I was one of those people :D

I used to be blueoceans.

Hi Blueoceans! Yeah, I remember your name! :D

Have you returned to us? What news from the outside world?

Hi AceMantra! I haven't really returned as of such. I may upload a track every now and again - if I get time, as I'm writing demo tracks for lib' developers these days. My wife is due to have our baby in a week or two so he'll be keeping me busy! :)

How's Newgrounds? Looks like the contest are still in full swing, are you participating?

Hey, congratulations!
I am participating in the contest this year. I've been stressing about it this all week.

Thanks! I suppose there's not much I can say which you wont already know. You just gotta make music and have fun with it!

OMG PETER IS BACK

Yo your latest 8Dio track is lit

Do you mean the Batucada one? :)

Yes the Batucada one. Like you could make hell of a demo track. I still go back to your 8Dio scoring contest track, it's amazing.

Thanks so much! Im glad you enjoyed it. I have to admit, I really didn't expect to win that! Since then it's been great to Beta with 8Dio and have been chatting to the Dev's online. I never realised they recorded a lot of the instruments just 10mins away from me, so I might be able to get a sneaky look at some of their recording sessions.

The Demos are fun to do, they can be a little tight with time and they are made with the Beta's. The challenge is placing the library in the forefront of your track. I've written a bunch of others too - just waiting for the libraries to be announced. ;)

Many of the big composers like Ivan Torrent and Alex Pfeffer started out as demo writers for 8Dio. I could see your and Phono's getting a foot in this industry. In fact I have faith in you becoming the next big composer, well, at least on the internet.

Btw, have you heard any update from SoundChris? Seems like he just dropped off the radar. Saw him here and there on Vi-Control but not much stuff released by him.

If I can get some time I can start pushing my music again. However, until my schedule clears up it's rather difficult.

As for SoundChris, Yeah, we still talk on and off. He's working a lot and still powering on there. As usual, his compositions are excellent!

Congratulations on your baby as he/she should have been born by now. Hope the baby is healthy and the family is doing well. It's funny to me because you're exactly where I was when they invited me to be part of the demo team as my daughter was due several months later. Made it nearly impossible for me to write music for a while as I adjusted to the new life schedule.
If you're not going to post new music here, at least give us a playlist for the demos you do. Listened to your Batucada and Visions of Time track and enjoyed them thoroughly. I wouldn't want to miss what else comes out.
I wonder if we ever collaborated on a demo track for 8Dio how interesting that would be, or at the very least share ideas if we both are working on the same library.

Yeah! He's all born and making plenty of weird raptor noises. He's healthy and family is doing well. Yeah, I am finding it tough to right music while he's needing attention, as well as the lack of sleep on my end can cause the creative time I have to be wasted a little.

As you know a lot of these demos are focused around the product, therefore I'm looking forward to creating something for me some time soon! It would be interesting of we had the chance to collab on a track. Maybe once things calm down on my end we can open that to discussion.

Peter

Thank you for this, while I am over a year late to the party I was definitely wondering where you went with it all. Glad to see one of the greats coming back, even if only for an occasional upload.
