What a riff!

This is an excellent piece Stephan, it has a really strong vibe to it. Im extremely impressed with the fact you changed your brass to have a more jazz stab, its stunning.

The beat and percussion throughout is excellent, its ever so catchy.
The only problem is that there isnt enough of it. ;)
Stunning work!

Wow I never knew I'd get this many reviews. I really owe you all one.

Anyway, thanks a lot for enjoying the song and writing the review. I wish I'd have the time to continue this sometime.

Thanks again!

Has potential but could be so much more powerful.

Hey there. There's no doubt in my mind that this is a good piece however, you could do so much more with it.

It feels like there is something missing at the start. Personally I would have liked to hear some nice horns in this piece, especially at the start where it could give you a hint to a nice sustained theme. Then all of a sudden as soon as it hits in 1:12 you blare a whole brass section with using staccato choirs to emphasise your string spiccatos. Great strong effects and crescendos would help you emphasise your gains and build ups.

You have nice percussions but rather than just use Evolve us a mixture of plugins to get a wide varied of percussion.

Great work overall but include more orchestra for more power.

MusicAfterSilence responds:

If I had access to a decent brass library and choir library I'd have done exactly that. I'm branching out and hopefuly I'll have a wider selection of sounds soon.

P.S. Theres only one track of evolve working here and I've got lots of other vst's working as well (like drums of war and stormdrum).

I love this!

I really like this. It's so subtle and relaxing to listen to. I really like it.

Good work!

Reminds me of the kind of Max Payne Game Music. :D

Cool :D. Thanks!

A Modern Classic!

This is excellent stuff. It's really dark and deep, the low bass at 1min is excellent, it really drives an underlying heartbeat effect, the more it paces up the stronger the rate.

I called it a modern classic because the piano is like the old style Halloween style horror, where as the guitar screams Modern age SAW movies. It's fantastic, and works very well.

We should definetly make one together next year!

Thanks dude. I'm glad someone noticed the "heartbeat". haha. And For sure, anytime you wish to get started.

. Plus man, please sign up on my newspost so I can play your music on the radio. :) That would be awesome.

Hehe Great Stuff

Is it wrong that this would fit right into a Jean_Claude Vandame 90's Movie, especially when you hear the synth dropping and rising with the pitch bend.

;)

Good work.

BatesyBates responds:

I'd love for this to be in a movie haha! Thanks :)

This is really good!

This has a really good build up! Excellent for your first track. Keep it up!

Based? It's Faure Pavane =P

I wouldn't say it's based on a classical track, just say to everyone that it's you playing Faure Pavane. Nobody is going to murder you for it. :P

It's good, but in comparison to the original your Violin sounds like it needs tuned. Also, if you are doing solo violin. Then really lets yourself play up close and personal. Slowly and powerfully play to us with nice quiet and strong moments, dont rush it. Add some reverb too, so it your violin doesnt sound like your in your bedroom. You have talent, so really sell yourself.

Faure Pavane to anyone who doesnt know the original. I love the BBC orchestra version...in youtube search faure pavane wimbeldon. It's the first video.

Sickenly Good.

Look Marky...you're making us all look bad. Stop it.

LMAO Now that was funny Pete! Don't make me get my EWQL Symphony out.

You're hidden talent.

It's a shame you seem so undiscovered, you have a sh*t-load of potential. Your themes are fantastic, the drama is brilliant.

Keep it up.
