The way I love it!

I'll start off by saying thanks!!! Your stuff is always a delight and inspiring to hear Josh.

It's about time newgrounds recognised your talent as Ive seen your other track kick up really high in the classical section. Skyrunner never falls short of action when it kicks in. I really like the build up at the start, I tend to do this alot, and it really sets the mood, in this case I think it worked really well because it exposed another sound which is gained upon later.

I gotta say 1:43 is where is makes it for me where it flips from staccato brass to bringing that theme, also being revisited later 3:10 ish in but in full oomph. I have trouble using strings for themes, but I must say you've done it stunningly. V jealous. :P

Overall an amazing track, and im honoured that you devoted it to me. Thanks so much. Keep it coming too, i could do with some inspiration. :)

Hey Peter! Thanks a lot man.

Great stuff!!!

I wouldnt say you dont have a chance, I actually really really like your track.

It's like B movie zombie music. Great stuff! Very fun indeed, would definetly expect this in House of the Dead for the Wii.

Whirlguy responds:

Haha, I'm glad to hear it! That's exactly the type of thing I was going for.

Hate da Bombers!

Well I like it! 5/5! :D

Really kicks in 120 ish. Great work, definetly has an edge!

Superb progression!

I have to say, I laughed away at MTLanes comment. You cant listen to it in a car or on HIS mp3 so omg take a 6. Has he ever thought you could possibly use it in a rpg?

Anyway, this is excellent, you have caught the sound perfectly and it's so fun sounding, honestly expect something like this in the next guildwars or something like that. :D Great work Tomppaah, stunning composition.

Tomppaah responds:

Haha, thank you Peter! :D

Always putting a smile on my lips. :)

Fantastic Track!

Great track! The strings really just flow really well. I really like how the glissando up and down. A lot of work in this, very mellow.

Great work. Very inspirational.
Keep up the submissions Tomppaah! ;)

This is excellent has a very lighthearted feel. Great work! :D

Tomppaah responds:

Why hello there handsome Peter Satera, and thank you very much! :>

Uber 5 for the Sheepy!

Nice one DS. Great stuff! It's a much needed improvement of the original. Do feel some of your brass staccatos are really short though. But it could be due to the vst. Great work! :D

D3vilsheep responds:

Peter you live! Thanks for the review! Staccatos too short? Never heard that before...I'm not sure how one goes about lengthening an accented staccato phrase...the vst might cut off the notes based on velocity, but I haven't heard any abnormalities yet. You know I love throwing staccato action over everything. ;)

Also it could be the lack of a low brass section (I'm kind of emulating one in this arrangement). The low end of the brass hits isn't too apparent.

Thanks again for your thoughts. I'm considering writing you a tribute soon. :)

Good work!

I like it, I really love the build at 1:15. I dont think you have anything at all wrong with your composition, I really love it, very dramatic!

You have one distinct area you need to work on. And I know how hard it can be to get it just right, but it's that sound of having instruments in a hall. You need a good mix of reverb, highs, mids and lows. Spend some time maybe creating a template which has the right sound. Constant listen to your tracks and compare the clarity to something you are inspired by. Apart from the lack of dynamics of instruments nicely fading in and out, you have an excellent piece here.

Keep it up!!

TaylorS responds:

Thank you for the feedback.
