Woa! This is superb! :O

Great track! Love the hybrid synths that really hit at 2:50, the transition in 3mins is ace, really like the drop. Congrats on the front page!

Enzer0 responds:

Front page? Lol! What? :D

One of my favorites of the contest!

I really love the way the track changes throughout, yet maintains consistency and focus. The sound design is really nice and reflects film scores I really enjoy. I'd love some hits around the 5min mark with those braams to really nail the heaviness and impact. The use of the vocalists too, it's one of the more elegant and delicate ideas which are well portrayed throughout the composition. The guitar was superb, something I've been playing with and could really get it to sit, but you did perfectly.

Overall I really liked it, it conveyed a lot of ideas which blended beautifully. Amazing track!

sorry peter i haven't been able to reply to this review earlier (busy weeks + slacking off + let it ripe!)

thank you so much for your dropping by with the awesome review dude! :3 i'm quite shy to be self-admitting that this track was inspired by your track on m0lecular album. it didn't turn out so well but i'll make my own promise that i'll fix it, some day...

i'm also ashamed to say that i overtly overused Gravity Vocalise. i just love the dark and cold sounds of it. :P

thank you again for your review dude!!!! :D can't wait to listen to your NGADM track.

Fantastic track! Has a warm and great Christmas vibe!

Excellent track as always Chris! Absolutely perfect for the genre and game and very soothing.

Thank you very much Peter!

Loving this track! @Xtremeneox is talking about the main theme from X-men: FC. Which has similar spiccato strings:

Your track has an awesome industrial vibe to it. This track blends aggressive percussion and chaos well perfectly together!

Enzer0 responds:

Thanks brotha! You made it all possible. Heh heh.

I love how we're almost complete opposites in time of composition. It's always refreshing to hear your music. This is beautiful, elegant, intricate and delicate. Love it! Keep it up!

etherealwinds responds:

So, for those reading, I had to ask Peter what he meant by his first sentence, and apparently someone said 'time' as he was writing, but he meant to write 'type'! I was trying to make sense of it xD

Anyway hey Peter!! Your compositions always have a lot of beauty to them and are so well thought out and produced. Your work is really inspiring and professional! I suppose our production is a lot different though and I'm very limited in what I can do; I only mix with an old pair of headphones and I only have an old laptop that can barely handle the music I want to make! I sorta just have to fill in the blanks with my head and use my intuition a lot with the mixing, to get past the limits of what I can actually hear. I'm always relieved when people feel it sounds good though! Thanks :)

Shit son! :O Loving it! I really love the aggressive runs in this, really high octane piece. Great work FD!

ForgottenDawn responds:

Oh hey man, good to see you around! Thanks for the compliments :D
I need to check your own tracks from time to time, thanks for passing by

Awesome work! Nice and full track pads here and the addition of ambient sounds is really nice and chilled too! Great work!

Sounding great! A couple of tips.

Remember your main reason for the rule of thirds in trailers. Your 1st third is intro, your 2nd should sound like a strong climax but hold back, and your third part should be the actual climax. Remember to keep ramping it up every time. Something like choirs, stronger percussion, massive hits at the start of each bar will really own this part.

Don't be afraid to drive it with strong percussion, especially at the start of every main loop around of the theme. You nailed the simple theme, which is one of the keys for trailers these days, however the challenge is to keep it memorable, so make sure the melody resonates with someone after they turn the track off.

Create massive visual moments in your track, and hammer those big hits covering all frequencies which would fill up the cinema. Treat it like you have Main and secondary percussion. Your secondary will continue throughout where as your main will be those massive strikes that fill the room.

Keep well mate! :)

Grandvision responds:

Aaaah thank you so much <3 Peter, this is such useful information, I wish I knew this sooner. I am going to improve on this track today and see what I can do.
