Shit son! :O Loving it! I really love the aggressive runs in this, really high octane piece. Great work FD!

ForgottenDawn responds:

Oh hey man, good to see you around! Thanks for the compliments :D
I need to check your own tracks from time to time, thanks for passing by

Sounding great! A couple of tips.

Remember your main reason for the rule of thirds in trailers. Your 1st third is intro, your 2nd should sound like a strong climax but hold back, and your third part should be the actual climax. Remember to keep ramping it up every time. Something like choirs, stronger percussion, massive hits at the start of each bar will really own this part.

Don't be afraid to drive it with strong percussion, especially at the start of every main loop around of the theme. You nailed the simple theme, which is one of the keys for trailers these days, however the challenge is to keep it memorable, so make sure the melody resonates with someone after they turn the track off.

Create massive visual moments in your track, and hammer those big hits covering all frequencies which would fill up the cinema. Treat it like you have Main and secondary percussion. Your secondary will continue throughout where as your main will be those massive strikes that fill the room.

Keep well mate! :)

Aaaah thank you so much <3 Peter, this is such useful information, I wish I knew this sooner. I am going to improve on this track today and see what I can do.

Beast! :D Love it!

Bosa responds:

It is great to hear from you as always! You are the man!

Love it Enzero. Great work!

Enzer0 responds:

Learned from the best. Now, when can we release our tracks? :D

I really love this! :D

Ceevro responds:

I'm glad! Chapter 3 and 4 are written...it's just a matter of finding time to record them!

This is very impressive. Love it! Scouted you to get in the competition. :)

NahuPyrope responds:

Thanks so much! haha

This is stunning. It has that beautiful John Murphy sound that I could lose myself in for ages. How far are you into your album?

Bosa responds:

Thank you, my good friend! I'm still working on the album and looking for more session musicians and vocalists to participate in it. I truly believe that if I can get enough help, this will be my greatest work to date.

I wish you and I just ran our own office together and produced music all day, then we'd complete this album in no time.

Great work! I really like the adventure and positive and warm vibe you've created! :)

SilverPoyozo responds:

Thank you! The original track helped a lot though.

For anyone wanting to know what DevilSheep is talking about. We made a deal, agreeing if he made a track, then I would also dive in and make something. Well THANKYOU VERY MUCH! lol, I had no idea you would do something basically within 24 hours! You are a man of your word. FFSake...now I need to do something!

Your track is great. :D Its fantastic to hear something from you especially after all these years of silence with such dominance. It has a strong pace and drive throughout and I love how it builds and builds, I'm an absolute sucker for that. The endings beast and extremely strong supporting an awesome climax. You can't go back into silence mode after this!

...now I better make some time to keep up to my end...

D3vilsheep responds:

Thanks Peter! :D

Nice WIP, I think you're a little dark horse waiting to get a bit more noticed for your audio talents. Keep it up.

The track is great and it's actually right up my street, I love this kind of build up orchestral composition. I did find the brass and Woodwinds a little strong, over your strings. So consider pulling them down a bit in the final version. I actually think you don't want to milk the build too much, and 6mins is quite long for the repetitive nature of it, and type of track. So consider possibly bringing that down to half the time, but make bigger jumps.

Hoping to see a lot more from you.

SuperTonic64 responds:

Hey, thanks PeterSatera! I appreciate the review, as well as your suggestions to improve the WIP. I definitely agree that the balance and length could use some work, so hopefully in the next build you'll see some pretty good improvements! I have a few other pieces in the works, and I hope to have some more music out soon!

Thanks again for your kind words! Even if I don't get noticed, I'm okay with that. I've been on Newgrounds around 11 years now, and I've had a varying level of success with a few of my works, but I'm not really here to be noticed as much as I'm here to improve myself as a composer. To be honest, the thing I look forward to the most is the reviews. That's the only way I've been able to improve myself, and reviews like this definitely help me do that! :)

Thanks again!
