Getting down to it!

SuperSteph, this is awesome! I love the guitar/ piano parts how they just run up and down beautifully. I love the kind of early 90's digital drum you have hitting in the background. Dont have many crits, overall i found it really enjoyable to listen to, and dont want to disect something which gets my groove on - im just going with it.

^_^
I really like it!

Fav'd, 5 and 10'd

Step responds:

Thank you very much! I think the guitar part here is like my first ever proper guitar solo (or maybe second if you consider the Chaoz Fantasy Remix one but that one was played by Pure-Metal-UTA).

I digress. Thanks for the review and the favourite! As usual, the compliments mean a lot coming from you :3.

There's something really gorgeous about this.

I'm not gonna lie, im jealous, This is a gorgeous melody and works so incredibly well. I fell in love with it within seconds. I would have liked to hear you take it into another entirely new theme, then return what you have made here. But thats taste and doesnt take anything away from this.

Incredible. Fav'd!

NordicHazard responds:

thanks! like you said.. the taste makes one piece what it is!

Great!

Stunning remix man! Amazing. Love the addition of the strings.

TheBellmaker responds:

Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed it.

It's good, but you need more clarity and depth.

It's a good piece, and I think with the right VST's it would sound much bigger. Edirol Orchestra unfortunately lacks dynamics, and you can hear your bass's pay the price. It just seems so dominant on the high frequencies that it's lost the power it could have had, the percussion should be hard hitting on the low ends too. It also may be down to the compression, as it could be overly compressed.

It's good, but it sounds like your template or mixing/mastering could do with some input to give your track the quality it deserves.

CaptinEpic responds:

ok thanks, i think i know what you mean, i will try to tweak the mastering/mixing a bit. thanks for the review. love your stuff!

Excellent!

I love how dreamy the intro starts. The beat kicks in superbly I really didnt expect it. This track really takes us on a journey. I love the instrumentation in this, your choice of instruments and percussion takes us into foreign worlds. Amazing work, always keeping us on our toes.

You're churning these out!

D3vilsheep responds:

Haha yeah I change the pace a lot and without proper notice, but it's how my creative process works. The intro you described perfectly as "dreamy"...just a small build up into the nonstop barrage of percussion. Thanks so much for reviewing my recent stuff, Peter. I'm flattered you still hang around to leave nice words for me.

Stunning music!

I love this, the ending is especially amazin.

BrokenDeck responds:

Hey Peter! Thanks a lot man.

Great stuff!!!

I wouldnt say you dont have a chance, I actually really really like your track.

It's like B movie zombie music. Great stuff! Very fun indeed, would definetly expect this in House of the Dead for the Wii.

Whirlguy responds:

Haha, I'm glad to hear it! That's exactly the type of thing I was going for.

Superb progression!

I have to say, I laughed away at MTLanes comment. You cant listen to it in a car or on HIS mp3 so omg take a 6. Has he ever thought you could possibly use it in a rpg?

Anyway, this is excellent, you have caught the sound perfectly and it's so fun sounding, honestly expect something like this in the next guildwars or something like that. :D Great work Tomppaah, stunning composition.

Tomppaah responds:

Haha, thank you Peter! :D

Always putting a smile on my lips. :)

Awesome work!

This is excellent has a very lighthearted feel. Great work! :D

Tomppaah responds:

Why hello there handsome Peter Satera, and thank you very much! :>

Uber 5 for the Sheepy!

Nice one DS. Great stuff! It's a much needed improvement of the original. Do feel some of your brass staccatos are really short though. But it could be due to the vst. Great work! :D

D3vilsheep responds:

Peter you live! Thanks for the review! Staccatos too short? Never heard that before...I'm not sure how one goes about lengthening an accented staccato phrase...the vst might cut off the notes based on velocity, but I haven't heard any abnormalities yet. You know I love throwing staccato action over everything. ;)

Also it could be the lack of a low brass section (I'm kind of emulating one in this arrangement). The low end of the brass hits isn't too apparent.

Thanks again for your thoughts. I'm considering writing you a tribute soon. :)
